As most of you are aware, there are demonstrations taking place this weekend that have potential to cause problems around town.
In the interests of the safety of staff and customers, we have decided to close the doors to the general public but remain open for our members and regular customers.
We will have a doorman employed for every opening hour Friday through Sunday inclusive.
The doorman will allow entry to known customers and members ONLY, so you might want to remember your gold card if you are not sure the doorman or bartender will recognise you.
Customers may be directed to use the side door for entry/exit and smoking, depending on the level of security needed at the time.
On Saturday and Sunday, we will be using the parking area out the back for outside seating, smoking and sun worshipping !
These measures are designed to ensure that we can enjoy our pub safely and peacefully as usual.
It promises to be a unique “lock in” atmosphere and we look forward to seeing you all as usual.
